Born into a lineage of eminent artists, she continues the rich legacy of Tanjore painting—a tradition deeply rooted in her family heritage.
Her exceptional contributions to the art world have earned her prestigious recognition, including the Lepakshi State Award for Master Craftsman, Gold Leaf Painting in 2003. She is also a certified mentor under the ‘Guru Shishya Parampara’ Training Programme, conducted by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, during the period 2011–2012.
